Overview
The Production Assistant supports with the production of both virtual and hybrid events by working closely together with the Live Stream Engineer and the Project Manager, as well as, the camera operator and/or videographer depending on the scope of the production.
At the same time, thanks to our dedicated onboarding and coaching process, the Production Assistant will develop the skills to be able to produce virtual events on his/her own.
The Production Assistant reports to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Helping with the transporting, setting up, and packing of the production equipment,
- Supporting the Video Switcher by managing the remote speakers, the backup slides, the backstage communication channel with the customer during event productions.
- He/she is responsible for briefing physical speakers as they get ready to deliver their presentation, as well as, setting up their headsets, and during corona times, disinfecting them too.
- Setting projects on vMix so that the Video Switcher has everything needed for the production of the event at hand.
- Documentation of the event for both marketing and sales processes (Taking pictures, videos, and screen recordings, to share on social media)
- Assisting with venue visits as part of the preparation for the production of events.
- Production of small virtual events depending on performance and level of skills.
Requirements
- Current student of a Viennese University.
- Interest in technology, virtual event production, and professional live streaming software such as OBS or vMix are a big plus.
